About Stillwood Study Center

Stillwood Study Center is a not-for-profit educational membership organization. It has been granted tax-exempt status 501(c)(3) by the Internal Revenue Service.

The purpose of Stillwood Study Center is:

  • To promote interest in and to study ideas relating to human development with the aim of enabling men and women to function more intelligently and actively within their community.

  • To investigate man's responsibility to himself, to others, and to his environment.

  • To promote the exchange of such ideas among its members and other people with similar interests.

  • To apply these ideas experimentally by working together through the use of arts, crafts, writing, dance, music, etc.

Constructed by its members, Stillwood Study Center has meeting rooms, a kitchen, and dining facilities. Stillwood is located on nearly three hundred acres of fields, woods, marshes, and ponds in the town of Palmyra, New York, and is home to a wide variety of wildlife and plants, including some rare species.
